Shift your energy. Do you want to create amazing travel experiences and escape all of the madness? As I talk to people, many are feeling pandemic fear and hesitancy about traveling. When I look at all we are facing; it reminds me of the parallel of steering a ship in the midst of a storm.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed about situations you have no control over, keep your eyes on the horizon and look for brighter skies. When you create travel experiences to shift your energy, it gives you something to look forward to in the coming months.

Also, remember the warning we are given on the plane, “put your own oxygen mask on first and then help those around you.” You must take care of yourself before you can help others.

Allow yourself to dream.  Use this book and this site Tripadvisor.com to research and plan that next trip. I guarantee you will spend less time watching the news and more time smiling.

Think about it; It is hard not to smile when you picture yourself doing something you enjoy or want to experience. It shifts your energy!

You don’t have to limit yourself to a book. There are real people traveling solo and in small groups posting beautiful pictures and giving real inspiration.

Looking at the photos in places I want to go or even places I have been reminded me of those memories and those places. Here’s a Facebook group where women are stepping out on their own. They are not letting fear take over their lives.

Finding that place to shift your energy

Seeing Canada open up the country to outside travelers made me so happy. I was inspired to change my planned road trip and decided to fly to Montreal, Canada. An opportunity to experience the beautiful fall weather and the changing colors of the foliage.

I can’t wait to get there and feel the Canadian hospitality and experience the culture. Of course, being in Montreal will be a travel experience that will shift my energy. Because of the French language and food, it will feel like France.

Since Quebec has its own culture and food, everyone tells me that you must try the Poutine dish, unique to Montreal. It looks like three meals on one plate!

If you want to create your own amazing travel experience to shift your energy, here are a few things that I am planning to experience while visiting Montreal. Maybe these experiences can offer you a jumpstart.

Don’t forget to pack smart and consider this efficient carry-on luggage that I am traveling with. To make it easier for you, feel free to download my Complete Packing List.
