1) Sand Harbor Beach
Famous for its crystal clear waters and crescent shape, Sand Harbor is located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe. This beach park is a go-to for swimming, kayaking, and diving in the summer. Additionally, there are onsite facilities you can use, including showers, BBQ grills, and picnic tables.
The best time to visit is in July or August because the park hosts the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. There, you can enjoy the performances under the stars at Sand Harbor’s outdoor theater. You can also admire the beautiful scenery while watching Bard’s famous plays.

However, keep in mind that there’s a challenging trek to the beach. Thus, we don’t recommend visiting Vikingsholm Beach if you have mobility issues.
